THIS week we take a peek inside the
handbag of Portstewart woman CELINE HARLEY.
The current Lady Captain of Portstewart Golf Club, Celine is practice manager in the Lever Road surgery of her GP husband James.
"My day-to-day handbag at the moment is a Kay West bag which my husband bought for me on a trip to Dublin for our wedding anniversary," said Celine.

" As I am Lady Captain of Portstewart Golf Club this year and his practice manager he could see that I would be in need of a more practical bag than I usually carry around."
Here's what's in her handbag...

1. Make-up bag
My make-up bag contains a few essential items like tinted moisturiser, eye shadow, mascara and cleanser - all Estee Lauder because their small complementary jars of creams are ideal for a handbag. My lovely lipstick case given to me by my friend May holds one of my three lipsticks I have in my bag ( not to mention the ones in my golf bag.)

2. Perfume
My perfume this week is Celine Dion's " Belong" bought by you-know-who. If it's not on the dressing table it's in the bag.

3. Two purses
My purses are small. One holds my keys for the locker room at the golf club along with handicap card and change for the weekly competitions and a house key.
The other one has my new bus pass, a bank card and photos of my sons and some money. Just a nice size so I don't have loads of coins, the 2ps and 1ps stay in a pocket in the bag.
As Lady Captain and a Practice Manager, a diary is a must along with the fixtures list for 2009 and last year's diary is also a good ready reckoner as I have phone numbers notes and tips from the past Lady Captain...thank you Jean!

4. Plastic bag
Why do I carry a plastic bag ? It goes along with my umbrella. I always use it when I go shopping etc. because there's nothing worse than a dripping umbrella.
While on holidays last September they supplied them at the library at Harvard University for the students and staff for the same idea. I didn't really want to lift one as it was quite a good day and the security guard was watching me!

5. Brown envelope
A brown envelope = a mini filing cabinet.

6. Driving licence and European health card

7. Photos
I have photos of my family and some of my walking group at the daffodil garden last year at the University. I started a walking group from the Get A Life Get Active programme about six years ago. We meet every Tuesday at 12.30 at the surgery on Lever Road in Portstewart.
I have a photo of Francisco, a 10-year-old boy who lives in Central America and with other sponsors we contribute towards their medical and dental care, get him educated and bring some hope to these mountain children and their families.

8. Leaflet
This is an information leaflet about the Red Sails Group. This Faith and Light group is made up of persons with intellectual disabilities, their families and friends who meet together in a Christian spirit to share friendship and to pray together and celebrate life. We hope to start this group again before Easter.

9. Receipts...
...and I all have those receipts but never can find the ones I really want.

10. Mobile phone
My mobile phone also acts as my alarm clock. Lucky today it's in the bag and not under the pillow as the very efficient Hon. Secretary Heather from the club may be trying to get me.

11. Memory stick
I also have a memory stick with a necklace in case I can't remember where I've left it!!

12. Bits and bobs
Golf tees ball and ball markers, my two pencils (well sharpened) and my biro with a choice of four colours that I can't do without and a fine liner pen for good hand writing.
I have a small prayer book and just to look at it reminds me to say 'Thank You God'.
