THE Raft Race is just around the corner.
So this week we caught up with Secretary of the annual RNLI fundraising event, JUDY BARR.
Judy is the press officer for Portrush Lifeboat.
This means that every time one of the Portrush boats is launched she's informed. We guess you could say what she doesn't know about the Lifeboat, really isn't worth knowing!
Judy is also busy training for the Belfast City Marathon which she will run as part of an RNLI team.
Here's what we found inside her handbag...

1. Raft Race application forms.
As secretary for The Raft Race which is on May 24, 2008, you never know when someone might ask you for a pack, information or sponsor forms

2. Small photo album.
This goes everywhere with me as it contains photos of family and my dog.

3. Mobile phone.
When the lifeboat is launched I get a page on my phone. As Press Officer I need to be aware of where the boats are and what they are involved in so I can keep the press up to date. The phone also helps me to stay in touch with the Operations Manager and crew. Also keeps me in touch with all my family and friends.

4. 'Loud and Clear'
This is a fact sheet detailing all sorts of info about the RNLI that the media may ask, so I have one in every handbag.

5. History Book
Hugh McGrattan, an experienced journalist, has written a book about the history of the Lifeboat Station, which will be on sale from May.

6. Lipstick.
Every girl's best friend. I can't go anywhere without this..I have one in every handbag!

7. Hand cream.
I love good hand cream and again have one in every handbag

8. Sponsor sheet.
I'm member of a marathon team from the station entered in the Belfast marathon, so I make sure a sponsor sheet is always to hand - you never know who you might bump into!

9. Purse
Another essential item - I feel naked without the debit card.

10. Electronic diary
I would be lost without this to remind me about Lifeboat Meetings, Raft Race meetings and of course work meetings!
