Here's what's in there:
My little black "ideas" book.
This wee book is a godsend, I am always thinking of ideas for fund raisers or for businesses to increase their profile and so I am never without it, when an idea comes into my head it goes into the book and then later when I have time I will think it through and develop it into a plan.
My bright orange diary.
I love my diary, I looked for a nice bright one for ages and finally found this one in Eason's. It is bright and an easy find in my bag, which as you can see has everything in it but the kitchen sink. And that is only because it won't fit! Everything goes into the diary, events, ideas, to do lists. I love crossing them off when they are complete.
A copy of the Coleraine Times (honestly!)
I always carry copies of the current local and national press. In my game you need to keep on top of what's happening and the Times is a great read, plus I have a few stories in here this week for my clients.
Pencil case
Sad but true, it is bright green and packed full of pens, high lighters, post its and even a lip balm. I always need pens to make notes. People I meet with are forever forgetting their pens and when I take the kids out for tea the pens and a page from my wee black book keeps them occupied.
Flyers, posters and sponsor forms for Special Olympics Thai night and "Dolly Parton Day"
I have lots of events coming up and the local hairdressers are helping me raise funds by dressing like Dolly Parton on Easter Saturday so I am delivering their packs to them this week. (See feature on page 22)
Bottle of water
People who know me will know that I like to chat and that I am always rushing around so I bring water with me everywhere I go to keep me refreshed.
BNI business card wallet.
I am a member of BNI, a business networking group and carry member business cards with me everywhere I go so that I have them to hand if I meet anyone on my travels that could benefit from the services any of the members.
Two mobile phones
A bit like a cowboy with two holsters, one on each hip! One phone is for all Special Olympics enquiries and the other is for my own business and personal calls. I need to have two so I know which hat to put on when I answer the call.
My sunglasses
I bought these in TK Maxx yesterday because the sun was out at last and I am pretending that it is summer!
"Bath time for Biscuit"
My daughter Rose's (age 4) favourite book about a wee dog who loves getting dirty and hates getting washed. Just like all three of my children!
