his years Christmas walk for Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI takes place in Portrush on Tuesday 27th December at 1pm. Staring at Portrush Harbour, walkers follow the coast to the White Rocks, returning to the Harbour Bar where they are welcomed back with a cup of hot soup. The family friendly event, now in its 29th year, was first organised by Garth and Ella Giffin following the death of their 19 year old daughter Lynda. The walk raises money for research into leukaemia and lymphoma in Northern Ireland. Last years total was 6087.50, and to date the walk has raised over 170,000!

Everyone is welcome to join in and walk off some of the Christmas excess while supporting this valuable local charity. Donations and sponsor money can be handed in upstairs in the Harbour Bar before the walk. Further information and sponsorship forms are available from Janet Leighton on 07969321921 or Jill Adams on 07709719466. Checkout the Facebook page at Portrush Walk for Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI.
