COLERAINE woman Catherine Campbell has just released her first book entitled "Under the Rainbow".
Wife of the Congregational Minister in the town, Mrs Campbell’s book is published by Ambassador and tells the story of the Campbell’s two daughters who were born with profound multiple disabilities.

In an honest and frank manner, Mrs Campbell tel
ls of the day-to-day sorrows and joys that accompany families with life-limited children.

The main thrust of the book explains her spiritual journey with God down through those difficult years.

She reveals her disappointments, her questions and ultimately her conviction that God keeps his promises and cares deeply for us in our pain.

Also expressing the needs of her only healthy child, she touches on subjects such as helping children grieve and the importance of friendship.

The book also includes a chapter on the early days of the Children’s Hospice project in which she and her family were deeply involved.

Although a nurse by profession, she has written for Christian periodicals over many years including “Woman Alive”, “Parentwise” and “Lifetimes” and is therefore excited about her first book.

The book “Under the Rainbow” is available from April 1 at Wesley Owen Bookshop, Railway Road, Coleraine.
