In memory of my nanny

A COLERAINE teenager will run the Race for Life in June in memory of her beloved grandmother.
18-year-old Cathleen Lee-Timms, from Winston Way, will join hundreds of other women at the University of Ulster in Coleraine to run 3.1 miles to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
"I just wanted to raise money and dedicate the run to my nanny Valerie Bostock from Coleraine who died eight months ago aged just 63," Cathleen told the Times.
A sixth former at North Coast Integrated College, Cathleen was a keen runner before her studies took priority but she is already in training for the June event.
She will be supported at the Race for Life by her mum Denise who will be walking around the course - and the mother and daughter team are also busy fundraising.
"Mum has done really well because she has over £100 already and I have just over £80 but we have until June to raise more," said Cathleen.
Cathleen also has words of encouragement for any other woman thinking of entering the Race for Life.
"it's not the fact that it's a race of 3.1 miles. It's not that hard because you don't have to run, you can walk and run or just walk.
Even if you don't have a personal reason for doing it, you can still help raise money," she said.
