COLERAINE Borough Council will host its annual Community Endeavour Awards ceremony at a mayoral reception in the Bann Gallery, Cloonavin.

This is an important opportunity for Council to give special recognition to the many people who give their time and energy for their local community.

The awards will be held on Thursday, March 21.

Council’s Community Development Team is now calling for nominations for voluntary and community groups who have made a significant contribution across a range of categories.

These include Community Development, Good Relations and the Policing & Community Safety Partnership. This year there will be two additional categories: Health and Well Being, and Youth Activity.

All winners will be announced and presented with their awards on the night.

The Mayor of Coleraine, councillor Sam Cole, said: “There are so many dedicated voluntary and community organisations and individuals in the borough who play a vital role in our society.

“The Community Endeavour Awards are our chance to recognise and reward them all for their hard work and dedication.”

Group award winners can win a contribution of £300 towards a project of their choice for their community. Information, guidance and nomination forms for the Community Endeavour Awards are available from the Development Services Unit, Coleraine Borough Council.
