Your Health is Your Wealth event in Coleraine Library

IF you’d like to 2013 to begin with a healthy kick-start after the Christmas festivities, Coleraine Library invites you come along to a health information event on Tuesday, January 29 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

The aim of this event is to promote well-being within the community and visitors will be able to get information on where to go to for help, advice and support, tips on how to keep well and take time out for yourself and how to achieve a better holistic approach to your health.

You will be able to have free health checks, such as cholesterol and blood pressure checks, pick up some de-stressing techniques and find out more about keeping fit, eating well and getting the right support you may need.

Information stands from many organisations will be on hand to offer health guidance, coping techniques and ideas to relieve stress, including representatives from Signature, Rural Support Network, Action on Hearing, Diabetes UK, Northern Health Trust, various departments from Coleraine Council Services, Age Concern, Support Families NI and SureStart.

Josephine Patten, Information Services Manager, Libraries NI, explains: “Libraries NI is delighted that Coleraine Library is hosting this Health is Your Wealth event to provide people in the area with a free and fun way to improve their health and happiness.

“It is vital everyone looks after their wellbeing, so we would urge everyone to come along and find out what support and information is available to ensure a healthier lifestyle.”

Members of the Health In Mind team will also be offering advice on taking steps to improve your well-being.

Admission to this health event is free. Everyone is welcome.
