MEMBERS of Portrush Music Society certainly know how to put on a show!
Fabulous music, great costumes, an authentic set and of course the odd gun shot - what more would you expect from a story set in the state of Oklahoma.
Their production of Oklahoma runs until this Saturday, May 2, at the Riverside Theatre, and those who go along are in for a real treat.
The story of the farmers and the cowboys is light hearted with a romantic twist.

Ashling Reynolds (Laurey) and
Hugh McLaughlin (Curly) excel in their lead roles.
There's a magical spark between the pair on stage, couple this with great singing voices and you'll see why they landed the lead roles.

Comedy is a major part of the show too, with Kerry Dunn as Ado Annie, Shay Reynolds as the ever-patient Will Parker and the ever-popular Donald Wilson who plays peddlar Ali Hakim. Look out for Donald's Persian Goobye, a real comical delight!

Una Culkin plays the part of Aunt Eller brilliantly. She's the character everyone looks up to, her wit and level head keeps young Laurey on the right track. She excels herself in the auction scene, taking control of the situation in her own special way!

Alan McClarty portrays the role of odd-ball farm hand Jud Fry to perfection. His interpretation of the character shows the talent that Alan really has.

It's a feel good show - I guarantee that by the finale the audience will be singing along with the cast.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
