The festival now in its fourth year has a packed programme of events ranging from an exhibition and workshops through to a barbecue and kids fun day, so there really is something for everyone.

The festival opens on Saturday with an exhibition in Coleraine Town Hall. The exhibition will feature many interesting items from local Lodges and bands, some of which date back to the late 19th century, and are not normally available to the public to view.
This year celebrates the 400th anniversary of the Plantation of Ulster, and the Committee have expanded the exhibition to include information on the history of Coleraine and the Ulster Scots influence in the area.
The exhibition in the Town Hall will be open every day through to Saturday 11th, (except Sunday 5th), including Monday and Wednesday evening.

Coleraine Library will host a workshop titled, 'Life in Plantation Times', with George Dallas on Tuesday, July 7.
Dr Bob Curran will deliver what will, no doubt, be an entertaining and informative talk about local place names and the Ulster Scots Connection on Tuesday July at 2pm in Coleraine Library.
As part of the celebrations, local historian Robert Anderson will lead a 'round teh ramparts' walk next Monday, July 6. The walk will leave Coleraine Town Hall at 7pm. Robert will also share his considerable knowledge of local history on our two river trips aboard 'The Lady Sandel'.

The first trip on Tuesday, July will go downstream, towards the Barmouth, the boat will depart at Christie Park at 2pm; while on Wednesday July 8, the boat will go up stream leaving Christie Park at 10.30am.
Places on the river trips are strictly limited, so booking is essential, the priced is £2 per person.
The action moves to Portstewart on Thursday July 8 with the Ulster Scots Experience, Ballinrees Pipe Band and the Eden Accordion Band providing a concert in Portstewart Town Hall. The event kicks off at 7.30, admission is free.

Friday July 10 brings an evening of entertainment for the whole family at Christie Park starting at 7pm. There will be bouncy castles, face-painting, a barbecue, river rescue display, various local bands, Lambeg drums and much more. The evening will conclude, at 10.30pm, with a spectacular fireworks display over the River Bann, part of Coleraine Borough Council's contribution to the festival.

There will be an afternoon of entertainment in The Diamond on Saturday July 4, and Saturday July 11 from 11.30am to 4.30pm. Displays of Scottish and Irish dancing, line and set dancing, fifing and Lambeg drumming will complement artists including the Ulster Scots Experience, Coleraine Fife & Drum Band, Session Beat and Dunloy Accordion Band.
