Kellys Portrush – still the original, still the best

THE latest transformation at Kelly's Portrush is the name!

For those that remember the good old days, entertainment was always known at Kellys with the infamous t-shirts bearing the Kellys logo on display around the world.

Over the intervening years the name above the door was changed to “Wild” incorporating the feel throughout the various areas within and has been known as this for the past 15 years.

Not to turn back the clock but more to appreciate the name that not only is renowned around the world, but a name that means so much to all who knew the man that started the entertainment scene in our humble seaside town, you will now be welcomed on arrival with the new KELLYS sign.

To keep tradition the new name also bears the original design, with much thanks to Sign It, Coleraine for being able to recreate the original template. To mark this special occasion the management encourage you to look out for limited edition Kellys t-shirts that will be highly sought after in 2009!

So with the summer in season, make sure you avail of all of the entertainment happening at Kellys this year. There truly is something for everyone.

This Friday (July 3rd) in God’s is open to all with local DJ Boggle playing a collective mix of dance music. Doors open at 8.30pm. Lots of drink promos available on the night.

Ice Cream Sundaes at Kelly’s, Portrush

Welcome to the summer and welcome to Ice Cream Sundaes at Kelly’s Portrush.

Sunday 5th July is the official launch Party of Ice Cream Sundaes at Kelly’s in association with Kopperberg in the ultra modern new look SYNK and the uber cool Star Bar which on Sundays will be transformed into the ‘Sax Terrace’.

Bringing that Balearic atmosphere to the Emerald Isle, Resident DJ’s Pete D-Vinyl (SYNK) and Ash (Armani’s) play the coolest tunes, from modern day anthems, to those 90’s classics we’re to ashamed to admit we love. Accompanied on live saxophone by John ‘Sax’ Henderson these are Sunday nights you won’t want to miss.

On Ice Cream Sundaes the Star Bar becomes the ‘Sax Terrace’ where live saxophonist John Henderson spreads his infectious groove on a background of funky House and 90’s old school classics to re-create an atmosphere to rival that of the infamous Space Terrace in Ibiza. in associ with Kopperberg.

If it’s cheesy anthems you’re looking for then clubbers can visit the SYNK where all tastes are catered for with DJ’s whipping up the crowds playing the latest R’N’B anthems and of course those dance floorfillers from past future and present, expect plenty of hands in the air moments

The opening night is strictly fancy dress based around the theme of a Baywatch Beach Party and it’s sure to be an eyebrow raiser!

Ice Cream Sundaes take place each and every Sunday in July and August. For further information check out the new SYNK bebo site: www.bebo.com/synkkellysportrush.

With special drinks promotions galore Sundays just got that little bit sweeter. Ice Cream Sundaes is an unmissable experience and is sure to be one of the coolest nights out on those hot summer Sundays.
