Over 11,000 users visited our website in December.

That culminated in almost 15,000 hits.

As digital media becomes more accessible through smart phones, tablets and now on our televisions, we have noticed a big increase in traffic through our website.

This month we’ve been tracking where users are logging on from.

And we were surprised to find that people are logging on to colerainetimes.co.uk from all corners of the globe.

We had over 800 users in America, almost 300 in Canada and almost 200 in Australia. Other users logged on from Qatar, Russia and even Afghanistan.

But what have you been reading about this month?

Our top story was about the local protests as the row about the Union flag at the City Hall in Belfast rumbles on.

Other tops stories included:

* Dog owner devastated as missing pup is found dead
