Cut Footloose!

KICK off your Sunday shoes and prepare to cut Footloose with a fantastic new show coming to the Riverside Theatre in Coleraine.

North Coast Theatre Productions present the toe-tapping musical Footloose for two rocking nights on Friday and Saturday, February 8 and 9.

The cast of over 50 have been rehearsing for weeks to bring alive this popular story of the small American town where dancing has been banned by the local minister.

Featuring all your favourite songs such as “Holding Out for a Hero”, “Let’s Hear it For the Boy” and, of course, the iconic title number “Footloose”, the show is a riot of fun and dance.

Taking the lead roles in the show are 17-year-old Ballycastle student Lee McLaughlin who plays rebellious Ren and 16-year-old Loreto College student Rebecca Kealey who plays Rev Moore’s daughter, Ariel.

At the helm of this exciting new production are director and choreographer Victoria Lagan and musical director Adele Davies.

These two busy ladies are not only tasked with putting the whole production on stage but watch out for Victoria appearing in some of the dance numbers and Adele is stepping out of the orchestra to play the role of Ethel, Ren’s mother.

Tickets are booking fast for this fantastic show - with the Saturday night performance almost sold out already.

So, you better cut loose and book now!
