Make a creative start to 2013 at Flowerfield
THE BEGINNING of any year is the best time to turn over a new leaf – and there’s no better place to do it than Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart, where staff are gearing up for a range of Creative Classes for Adults, starting at the end of the month.
The award-winning centre has been offering arts and crafts classes for 30 years, and remains one of the most popular places in Northern Ireland to take on a new skill, or brush up on an old creative ability.
Such is the demand that some of the classes are already filling fast, but there are still plenty of places left – so there are all kinds of opportunities to develop your creativity, in everything from hot glass crafts to creative writing, from digital photography to oils and acrylics.
The centre is offering a couple of new classes this term – Introduction to Crochet and Knitting with Jennifer Stewart on Wednesday afternoons, and an Introduction to Facebook and Skype on Friday mornings with tutor Kathy Stewart.
These new classes are in addition to over 20 other classes in a range of subjects, on offer mornings, afternoons and evenings.
The term runs for ten weeks, and gets under way in the week commencing January 21. If you’d like to know more, visit the Flowerfield website on www.flowerfield.org, or get in touch with the reception staff at Flowerfield Arts Centre on (028) 7083 1400.
