Success for Coleraine Young Farmers
MEMBERS of Coleraine Young Farmers Club are celebrating success in a number of winer competitions.
The Northern Ireland Public Speaking Finals were held at Ballee High School in Ballymena before Christmas and saw Marie Richmond and Kathryn Taylor earning third places whilst Chantelle Murdoch picked up two second places.
The results of the debating heats, held in Magherafelt High School, were: 12-14: 1st, Maxine, Paul and Scott; 14-16: 1st, Rachel, Ruth and Stuart; 16-18: 1st Laura, Philip and David; 18-21: 1st, Danielle, Claire and Chantelle; 2nd, Joanne, Russell and Callum; 21-25: 2nd. David, Neil and
David.
In the Northern Ireland finals Danielle, Claire and Chantelle were runners-up in the 18-21 age group.
In the Home Management competition Laura Conn, Rachael Lamont, Ruth Adams, Louise Conn, Kathryn McCormick, Hilary Cameron and David Hall proceed to the second stage which will be held in Kilrea Primary School.
Meanwhile Russell Smith and Sarah Cunningham earned first and third places respectively in the Demonstration Presentation Competition at Greenmount CARFE Campus.
