TREASURE CHEST - Clive Culbertson
PACKING his Treasure Chest this week is CLIVE CULBERTSON.
Clive is one of the area's most renowned musicians. He is a bassist, vocalist, songwriter, recording engineer and record producer. He has recorded and toured with many artists - among his huge list of credits are Van Morrison and The Chieftains and the hugely successful Avalon Sunset album. Currently he is bassist/vocalist and musical director with country rock band New Moon, of which he is also a founder member.
He is also founder of The Order Of Druids In Ulster. He is a mystic, musician and healer.
1. My Rosicrucian altar cloth
I have been a member of The Rosicrucian Order for almost 30 years and I do a daily Rosicrucian meditation. My altar cloth has the Sacred Symbols of The Order on it and is on the table where I pray daily. If I had this I could have my Holy Place anywhere.
2 A copy of the Bhagavad Gita.
This is a Holy Book I read regularly and dip into when I need inspiration.
3. A solar powered laptop
It could play CDs and DVDs for me
4. A DVD copy of Notting Hill
One of my favourite ever movies...I have seen it over 30 times!
5. The full DVD copy of Chris Howard's NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner Course.
It's over 20 hours long. I am a certified NLP Master Practitioner and still refer to the Chris Howard course for inspiration and help in all areas of my life. I use the goal setting part of the course almost daily. It has changed my life.
6. Bass guitar
My 1971 Fender Precision bass guitar. I have gotten more joy and pleasure from this instrument than from anything else in my life. Even though there would be no amplifier to plug it into, I would still enjoy playing it.
7. Beach Boys CD
A CD of my favourite Beach Boys tracks that I made up, that is constantly in my car. I would need to have this. I listen to this more than any other CD I have.
8. Book
I would bring a copy of the book "Cosmic Trigger; The Final Secret of The Illuminati "by Robert Anton Wilson. A magnificent book about Wilson's journey through the 60s and 70s. Astounding and mind blowing on so many levels. I have read it at least once every year since the 70s.
9 A CD of Chicago
The 30th album from one of America's greatest bands who have been around since the 60s. I have listened to this album hundreds of times since it came out a couple of years ago.
10. A CD by US R&B singer called " A Love Story".
It was my introduction to one of the finest singer songwriters of our time. This collection, all magnificent love songs, is sadly, no longer available. It is permanently in my car and is listened to regularly.
