What's in Your Hangbag?...Rachel Williams
THIS week, we take a peek inside the handbag of RACHEL WILLIAMS, Account Manager and Personnel Officer at Riada Recruitment, Union Street, Coleraine.
Rachel is a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Rachel has a dual role of managing the seasonal workers for Coleraine Borough Council, as well as dealing with all the personnel issues that arise from working with a large number of employees.
Here what we found inside her handbag...
1. My two phones
One is my own - dressed up in a green phone sock, and the other is for work. It helps me keep in touch with all the Council managers and over 200 workers, 24/7.
2. Business cards
Two sets - one for Riada Recruitment, to give to potential clients or candidates who have imminent recruitment needs as a result of sickness absence, resignations or growth within their business; and one for Riada Personnel, for companies who may not have any recruitment needs but are struggling with possible redundancy, disciplinary issues or just need employment law advice.
3. Clinique Happy Heart perfume
My favourite scent and many people have commented that it seems to sum up my personality!
4. A spare pair of earrings
I rarely leave the house without a pair of dangly earrings but I keep a spare pair in my bag, just in case.
5. Prison Break DVD
I got season one for Christmas and since then have become slightly addicted. I have been encouraging my family and work colleagues to get into it too - hence I have it in my bag to pass on to them.
6. Old cinema tickets
I love going out with my friends for dinner and the cinema regularly - last week we went to see "He's Just Not That Into You" - really great craic!
7. My Bible
Being a Christian is a big part of my life and so it's always encouraging to have my bible with me. I regularly lead worship at Portstewart Baptist Church so I usually have my journal in my bag too, to write down song ideas for the following Sunday's services.
8. Avon hand cream
I used to be an Avon representative so I still have loads of their products around the house. But I love the Planet Spa African Shea Butter hand cream.
9. Car keys
I've recently purchased a 2002 Mercedes A-class which is my pride and joy!
10. Bits and bobs
Finally, the usual things - purse, cheque book, Clarins lip gloss, gloves and a pen.
