TV viewers around Britain will see Whitepark Bay on the popular GMTV Barbeques With a View programme this summer.
Celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott cooked up a sizzling barbeque at Whitepark Bay recently, using a variety of local produce including Bushmills Whiskey and Causeway Cheeses.

The visit was facilitated by Tourism Ireland and the Northern Ireland Ireland Tourist Board.

Lawrence Bate, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said: “We were delighted to welcome the GMTV crew and Ainsley Harriott to Whitepark Bay and to Northern Ireland.

“The weather was good during their visit and to be able to barbeque in such a stunning setting as Whitepark Bay highlights what a beautiful place Northern Ireland is to visit.

“Lifestyle programmes such as this are an excellent way for Tourism Ireland to get positive exposure for Northern Ireland tourism - in Britain and other overseas markets.

“GB is the most important market for tourism from overseas and last year we welcomed over 1 million British visitors to Northern Ireland.

“We have a strong promotional programme under way in GB right throughout 2010, highlighting compelling reasons to visit and placing significant emphasis on value for money, to drive home to the GB consumer that there has never been a better time to visit.”
