COLERAINE actress Jayne Wisener has been checking the weather forecast and it's going to be a "Blue Christmas" for her.
The Sweeney Todd actress flew back home to Northern Ireland to record the old Elvis Presley hit "Blue Christmas" to raise money for local charity Cancer Lifeline.

Jayne is joined by a host of the province's celebrities - including Lynda Bryans and Ralph McLean - on the recording which was produced by DJ Mickey Modelle at his Bangor studio.
"Jim Brown who is a brilliant Elvis impersonator sang the main song and the rest of us like May McFettridge and myself sang some of the other lines," explained Jayne.

"It's all to promote an Elvis Extravaganza in the Waterfront Hall at the end of January which will also raise funds for Cancer Lifeline."
It's been a busy time for Jayne as she has just finished filming an episode of Channel Five's remake of the classic TV series Minder which stars Shane Ritchie.

"It comes out at the end of January and I'm in Episode Four so that should be out around February," said Jayne.
"There was a screening of the series the other night which I couldn't get to but everyone said it was brilliant.
"It was unbelievable working on that show. I had the best time and every morning I was getting up really early because I was so excited and couldn't wait to get to work.

"Shane Ritchie was hilarious and really lovely too. I play a Northern Irish character in the show, so you won't miss me," joked Jayne.
And the New Year looks set to be equally busy for Coleraine's star actress but for now Jayne is looking forward to a family Christmas at home in the Borough.
