POLICE have uncovered a cannabis production factory in Portstewart.
Officers of 'H' Districts Tactical Crime Unit made the discovery during a search of a house in the town's Millbank Avenue last Wednesday night (May 7).

Cannabis valued at over £50,000 and a considerable amount of ancillary equipment used in the production process of the controlled drug, was also seized during the operation. There were no arrests.

Anyone able to assist police with their investigation is asked to contact the Tactical Crime Unit at Ballymoney PSNI Station. The telephone number to ring is 0845 600 8000, or contact the 'Crimestoppers' charity anonymously on freephone 0800 555111.

Anyone who has any information regarding the sale, supply, or misuse of controlled drugs is urged to contact their local police so that the matter can be fully investigated.
