A 47 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary following an attack on a house in Coleraine during the early hours Thursday morning.
At around 1.20am it was reported a group of men had attacked a house in Loughanhill Park, smashing windows and eventually forcing their way in.
Some damage was caused to the internal living room door before the men made off.
There were three people in the house at the time
The arrested man was detained around an hour later. He remains in custody at this time assisting police with their enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector James Mullen said: “At this time we believe as many as five males were involved in this attack and we are keen to hear from witnesses. Detectives can be contacted at the offices of Ballymena Reactive and Organised Crime on 101.”
