ARMSTRONG Medical in Coleraine has joined the University of Ulster’s Professional Experience Programme, as part of the University’s ‘Learning for Life’ initiative to enhance employability of graduates entering the job market.

The programme is highly competitive, with only 35 internships available across a number of disciplines.

Graduates complete a Certificate in Professional Practice run by the University of Ulster. Throughout their six month internship the graduates will work within a department of the organisation relating to their degree discipline.

Alice Mooney, a UU Bsc Hons Business Studies graduate, joined Armstrong Medical Ltd in September 2013 as a Marketing and Business Development Intern.

Alice said: “The University’s Graduate Internship is a great opportunity to experience a busy business environment and apply theory learnt within University in a practical way. I am looking forward to the challenges of the next six months and the experience I will gain from such an innovative, forward thinking company in an exciting market.”
