Almost 1,000 customers without power

A total of 993 customers are currently without electricity in the region.

It is understood 586 customers are without power in Ballymoney.

The outage occurred at 7:30am this morning.

A Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIEN) spokesperson said: “The repair team is on its way.”

There is currently no estimated restoration time.

The Times understands 407 customers are without power in Armoy.

The outage occurred at 9am this morning.

Commenting on the incident, a NIEN spokesperson said: “The repair team is on its way.”

There are no further details at this stage.
