Coleraine girl, Ashley Loughrey said she has been inspired by Dragon’s Den star, Hilary Devey.

Hilary was the special guest at the annual Women In Business Awards, hosted at the Culloden Hotel last week.

Ashley was shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ category, unfortunately she didn’t win, but she says she was delighted just to be nominated.

28-year-old Ashley is Brand and Marketing Communications Manager for Belfast firm SLA Mobile.

They create mobile technology solutions that help mobile operators.

Working with leading mobile operators and content providers, the firm have delivered projects throughout the world, from New Zealand and Indonesia to Qatar, South Africa, Germany and USA.

Ashley, who has worked at SLA for the past year and half, was nominated by her colleagues for the award.

Her website and email campaign to coincide with the company’s rebranding, helped them gain a key contract in the Middle East.

“I was really pleased just to be nominated,” she told The Times.

“It’s always nice to be recognised by your colleagues.”

Speaking about the guest speaker, Devey, Ashley added: “I didn’t get to meet Hilary Devey in person, but her speech was really inspiring. She gave us all something to think about.”
