Barbara’s 50 year bond with Aghadowey Choir celebrated

Have your say

MEMBERS and friends of Aghadowey Presbyterian Church choir have paid tribute to a very special lady recognising her 50 years of dedicated service to the choir and music in general.

During a special function held in the Church Hall on June 28, Mrs Barbara Bond was presented with a special gift by Mrs Doris Knox.

The choir then performed some of Barbara’s favourite music followed by a chosen piece by Barbara herself to the gathered audience.

Barbara was also the subject of many adoring comments from members of the congregation including the minister, Rev Dr Robert Kane, Clerk of Session, James Smyth and Barbara’s brother, Robert Ramsey

The evening was brought to a close by prayer and further thanks from Rev Kane on behalf of the congregation.
