BBC Northern Ireland’s Summer Story Fest comes to Ballycastle

The BBC is inviting Coleraine Times readers to come along to their ‘Story Fest’ in Ballycastle next Friday, August 3.

BBC Learning is working with local authors and storytellers this summer to bring a host of interactive reading and writing activities to children aged 4-11.

Why not join BBC Northern Ireland’s Summer Story Fest at The Seafront in Ballycastle on Friday 3rd August from 11.30am-4.30pm?

Visit the pop-up tented village where children can experience live storytelling with Liz Weir, meet Children’s Author and Illustrator Paul Howard and consult the Book Doctor for recommended reads.

Hands on activities will include creative writing workshops, the creation of a giant story book, reading aloud to Pudsey Bear, word games and other activities to encourage children to read more and get writing.

Parents will find lots of ideas and suggestions to encourage reading at home and children can bring along books they’d like to exchange in the Book Swap.
