The BBC ‘World War One at home’ tour is coming to Portrush this weekend as part of the Air Waves Show in Portrush.

This nationwide tour will visit eight cities telling the story of what life was like during World War One.

The tour aims is to provide visitors with an inspiring and informative day out creating a deeper knowledge of the Great War and how it has affected our lives.

The BBC is looking to recruit a team of cheerful, enthusiastic event volunteers who are keen to get involved and support the main event team.

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over.

Roles on the day include running hands-on, family-friendly activities, stewarding, managing queues and answering queries from the public.

It is essential that you have strong inter-personal skills and plenty of energy as you’ll be dealing with the public and will be on your feet most of the day.
