Coleraine Borough Council is advising residents to be aware of its waste collection arrangements over the festive season.
Black bin and food caddy collections will not take place on Christmas Day but will be made on Saturday , December 27.
Blue bins and food caddy collections will not take place on New Year’s Day but on Saturday, January 3.
Council’s Civic Amenity sites will be closed on Christmas Day, reopening on Friday, December 26. The civic amenity sites will be open from8.30am until 3.45pm during the festive season.
The Mayor of Coleraine, Councillor George Duddy commented, “Recycling is an essential part of Council’s refuse collection and I would encourage everyone to ensure they use their bins correctly by putting their waste in the appropriate bin.
“It is also important that residents consider what items can be taken to the local recycling centres over the festive season. I would advise everyone to have a look at Council’s website www.colerainebc.gov.uk for further advice on waste disposal and help in any way they can to reduce the borough’s waste collectively.”
Amenity sites in the borough are located in; Portrush, Causeway Street; Portstewart, Roselick Road; Coleraine, Loughanhill Industrial Estate; Garvagh, Limavady Road; Kilrea , Lisnagrot Road; and Castlerock, Freehall Road.
