The Royal Highland Show is Scotland’s largest outdoor event, attracting more than 188,000 visitors – or potential holidaymakers for Northern Ireland – over four days, providing an excellent platform to showcase the superb experience on offer here for Scottish holidaymakers.

Vanessa Markey, Tourism Ireland’s head of Great Britain, said: “Events like the Royal Highland Show provide us with a wonderful platform to spread the word about the many great experiences that Scottish holidaymakers can enjoy around Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland.

“GB is the largest market for tourism to Northern Ireland and visitor numbers from GB increased by +10% in 2015 to nearly 1.3 million. Tourism Ireland is undertaking an extensive programme of promotions in GB to ensure that this growth continues.”
