Can you help make a timeline of Portstewart’s history?

Coleraine Borough Council will be hosting an event on Saturday 27th July in Portstewart Town Hall as part of the Red Sails Festival.

And they need your help!

Causeway Museum Service would like help from members of the Borough to create a timeline of Portstewart’s history.

This may include bringing photographs, memorabilia and memories for discussion on the day.

The slideshow of images collected will be displayed throughout the afternoon and will be accessible on the Northern Ireland Community Archive – www.niarchive.org - after the event.

Sarah Carson, Collections Access Officer says “We are interested in photographs and postcards of the town and we welcome information dated from any period. All items will be scanned and the originals returned to their owners.

“I would encourage as many of you as possible to come along and get involved in documenting how the town has changed.”

A slideshow of images from the Coleraine Museum and the Coleraine Chronicle Collections will be available to view on the day. For more information contact Coleraine Borough Council’s, Collections Access Officer, Sarah Carson on 02870347213 or email; sarah.carson@colerainebc.gov.uk
