THE Chambers brothers, Peter and Richard, must love a bit of drama.

Our Olympic medal winners served up a thrilling climax to their Men’s Lightweight Fours final at Eton Dorney last month.

And last week they sampling a bit more drama in London’s east end.

For the Coleraine lads were special guests at the set of BBC drama Eastenders.

The local rowers went down a storm in Walford as they showed off their silver medals to the cast.

Shane Ritchie, who plays Alfie Moon in the soap posted a picture on Twitter with the brothers and his on-screen wife Kat Moon (aka Jessie Wallace).

And he joked that he had finally got to the bottom of the big storyline, which has been gripping fans of the show.

“Finally found out who wife has been seeing...Don’t feel so bad now! Champions x,” tweeted the Queen Vic landlord before adding: “Lovely meeting ya Richard, hope you enjoyed Albert Sq. Now keep ya hands off Mrs Moon xxx.”

Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning in the show tweeted: “A pleasure meeting Richard and Peter in the Queen Vic today, rowing silver medalists.”

Peter replied: “Thank you, we really enjoyed it. It was a pleasure to watch you do some great work. Thanks for having us.”

Rita Simons, who plays Roxy Mitchell, tweeted a picture of her and Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean) with the lads.

She said: “Me, Shona and #reallifeolympians! Oh and a couple of silver medals! #welldoneboys!”

Adam Woodyat, who plays Ian Beale, was also delighted to meet them: “Great meeting you today. Hope you enjoyed your visit to E20.”

The boys clearly enjoyed their day. Richard Chambers tweeted: “Thank you for showing us round and for a great afternoon. Friendly cast and a great production team.”

Who knows maybe the guys will make a dramatic return to the square when they win gold in Rio in four years time!
