A TOTAL of 82 cyclists turned out for the first ever charity cycle for the Caring Caretaker’s charities.

The Bann Wheelers and other cyclists turned out in force to tackle either a 15 mile or 50 mile circuit to raise money for Davy Boyle’s chosen charities on Sunday, april 22.

“To all the cyclists who came out for this first charity cycle, I cannot thank you enough,” said Davy Boyle.

“We raised £900 - it shows when we pull together we can make a big difference. I would like to thank Robert Downs, Derek McDonald and Mary McKinney of Bann Wheelers and also Sgt Sean Craig, Darren Pollock and all the officers from the PSNI.

“I must also thank Cathal Cunning and all the marshals around the course as well as Raymond Thompson and Tina Campbell.”

Davy Boyle also extended his thanks to Wesley, Caroline, Paula and Patricia for doing a great job at the registration and to Noleen, Brian, Rosie and Gillian from Martha’s House in Coleraine for supplying excellent food and to all others who brought food.

Finally, Davy thanked the Mayor of Coleraine, Alderman Maurice Bradley for attending the event.
