Car goes over promenade wall at Portstewart

Emergency services had to use cutting equipment to free a man from his car after it toppled over the wall of Portstewart Promenade.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning in the Crescent area. Three fire crews attended from Portstewart, Portrush and Coleraine.

A Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 10:48am.”
