MCL Insurance Services announced the job creation at the local base thanks to the phenomenal growth of the company’s flagship brands BoxyMo.ie, Its4Women.ie and 25+.

The new roles were created in the Outbound Telephones and Online Chat departments and add to the 110-strong workforce already at the company.

In addition, more than £100,000 has been invested in the company’s telecommunications and IT infrastructure as a result of the new positions.

Growth has been propelled in 2016 by BoxyMo.ie, Ireland’s first dedicated telematics insurance product which offers premiums based on driver behaviour thanks to a device fitted behind the dashboard of the car.

The company reports a considerable drop in the frequency of accidents with the box installed.

Managing director of MCL Insurance Services, Gary McClarty, said: “The 20 new positions will help improve our already excellent customer service offering, with growth across our online chat and call handling teams. I’m delighted to welcome 20 new people to our Grade A offices in Coleraine.

“MCL Insurance handles more than 85,000 policies across Ireland and I look forward to our new colleagues contributing to continued growth in the coming 12 months.”
