Man beaten with metal bars in Bushmills

A man has been injured after being attacked by two men with iron bars in Bushmills on Monday night.

It was reported that shortly after 8pm last night (Monday) a 22-year-old male was walking on Bridge Street, Bushmills when he was attacked by two masked males.

The man suffered injuries to his arms and legs after being hit with what are believed to have been metal bars.

One of the males is described as being approximately 5’6” tall and the other is described as being approximately 6’ tall.

Both were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. They made off on foot in the direction of the river.

Detective Constable Stuart Sandrey is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that will assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
