Police appeal over Carnlough and Glenarm burglaries

Detectives are appealing for information following burglaries in the Carnlough and Glenarm areas.

The first burglary occurred at a shop in the Harbour Road area of Carnlough in the early hours of Thursday 12th May.

The shop was broken into at approximately 1.30am and a large number of cigarettes to the value of approximately £4,000 were stolen.

The second burglary occurred at a convenience store in Toberwine Street area of Glenarm sometime after 9.30pm on Wednesday 18th May when a quantity of cash, and cigarettes with an approximate value of £1,000, were stolen.

Detective Sergeant Crothers said: “I would ask anyone with any information about these incidents to contact detectives at Larne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
