Defence solicitor Briege Martin said the defendant had consumed alcohol at his girlfriend’s house the night before and was still over the limit the next day.

Referring to a previous drink related incident the judge banned the defendant from the road for 18 months and fined him £350 and warned him if he comes back before him for a similar offence he will send him to prison.
