Two arrested in Portstewart following searches

Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have charged two men with a series of drugs offences as part of an investigation into organised crime in the Coleraine and Portstewart areas.

Detective Inspector Tom McClure said: “The men, aged 43 and 49, were arrested in the Portstewart area yesterday during a series of searches.

They have been charged with cultivating cannabis, possession of a class B drug and possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.”

They are due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court on 7 March.
