Have your say

Following the success of the World Police and Fire Games Beach Volleyball competition, Coleraine Borough Council is now offering you the chance to come and try the game.

As part of the legacy from the games, permanent volleyball posts have been erected at East Strand beach in Portrush to allow everyone an opportunity to play this fast action and skilful game.

Ball hire will be available from the Beach Warden at the Watersports Centre.

The crowds were out in force as the Beach Volleyball, Surf Kayaking and Surfing competitions hit the north coast. They were treated to some great action as the competitors showed off their skills in the sea and on the golden sands.

The Northern Ireland Fire Service team of Harbinson-Simpson finished their WPFG tournament losing 21-10 to the German team of Dahlmann-Steinke. They ended up ranked 7th in the Men’s 40-49 Bracket.
