Limavady blaze '˜deliberate'

An early morning fire at a property in the Sperrin Road area of Limavady is being treated as deliberate by the emergency services.

It is understood the incident occurred at approximately 3am on Tuesday, March 21.

Commenting on the blaze, a Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) spokesperson said: “NIFRS responded to a fire at a semi-detached house at Sperrin Road, Limavady.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereel jets and two jets to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire appeared deliberate. Fire crews from Limavady, Dungiven and Northland stations attended the incident.”
