POLICE have praised the behaviour of revellers on St Patrick’s Day with ten arrests being made.
Coleraine Area Commander Chief Inspector Nicky Thompson told The Times yesterday: “The St.Patrick’s Day festivities passed off relatively peacefully.
“The increased number of officers provided a visible deterrent to those whose behaviour may have ruined the day for others. In total, 10 arrests were made across the greater Coleraine area largely for public disorder offences.
“I am very pleased with the satisfactory outcome of the festivities in the greater Coleraine area over St.Patrick’s Day, and would take this opportunity to thank members of the public for their assistance in providing an enjoyable day out for everyone.”
