The annual Castlerock Christmas Lights Switch-on ceremony is set to take place this week.

Kicking off on Thursday, December 8 from 7pm, Santa is set to switch on the Christmas tree lights with help from special guest Justice Minister Claire Sugden MLA.

There will also be music on stage as well as entertainment from Ballyhackett and Hezlett schoolchildren.

The young children from 1st Castlerock Scout Group and Castlerock Community will take part in a festive lantern parade through the village to the tree.

You can also expect a selection of seasonal food, mulled wines and tea, coffee and hot drinks.

After the lights have been switched on, the whole community will be invited to follow Santa to his magical grotto where there will be gifts for all the children.
