Last Saturday, parkrun celebrated its third anniverary, and in that time hundreds of runners have taken part.

The weekly event at the East Strand in Portrush, is a timed run, its not a race.

First timers are welcome every week, but next Saturday, will be all about the newbies.

All you have to do is register via this link, print off your barcode and come along: http://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/form/

Remember to bring your printed barcode if you want an official time in the results.

You can run if you don’t have a barcode, but you won’t get a time. And its all completely free- every week.

The run starts at 09.30, runners should meet at the Watersports Centre for a quick briefing beforehand.
