The staff and students of Loreto College Coleraine found much to celebrate on GCSE Results Day 2016, with the Year 12 students of 2016 keeping pace with the outstanding results of previous years at the College.

Speaking on behalf of the College, Loreto Principal Mr Michael James commented: “I am truly delighted by the wonderful performances of our GCSE students once again. The results they have achieved compare very favourably with previous results within the school, with 100% of all students achieving five or more grades A* -C. 94.5% of all students achieved seven or more grades A*-C, including English and Mathematics, and 63% of students achieving 7 or more A*-B grades. Our students also performed exceptionally well in the top grades achieved this year, with more than half of all grades achieved being A or A*, and 80% of all grades achieved being grade B or better.
