THE festive period is the busiest time of the year for British Heart Foundation (BHF) shops and this year the heart charity is appealing for volunteers in Coleraine and the surrounding area to lend a hand to make a real difference this Christmas.
The BHF shop at Kingsgate Street in Coleraine plays a vital part in the fight against heart disease.
The shop needs 40 extra hours help per week over the Christmas period, so any time that local people can spare will be greatly appreciated.
A spokesperson said: “Our Coleraine shop has roles available to suit everyone. From merchandising our large range of Christmas gifts to selling Christmas cards; window dressing and helping with the Christmas raffle, our shops are keen to hear from people who have a few hours to spare.”
Michelle McIlwrath, Area Manager BHF Northern Ireland Shops, says: “I’d really like to encourage people in Northern Ireland to make a huge difference by giving the gift of time. Whether you can spare a couple of hours or a couple of days a week we’d love to hear from you. Your support is vital to us.”
