A broadcasting team from Irish TV took time out to visit Coleraine Grammar School last week.

The local students will feature on the programme ‘Derry Matters’ on SKY later this month.

The crew interviewed the Headmaster, two Year 8 pupils, the Head Boy and Girl, Mr McCreery, Mr Boyd and Mrs Bovaird.

They also found time to visit a few classrooms, meeting staff and pupils along the way.

The school’s chamber choir, who will be travelling to New York in January were also filmed for the show.

Following their high standard of performance in the final of the BBC Radio Ulster School Choir of the Year, the Chamber Choir will be participating in the Carnegie Hall premiere performance of Karl Jenkins’ Songs of Sanctuary on the Distinguished Concerts International New York Concert Series in New York City.

The performance will take place on Monday, January 18.

Why not tune in and find out about the school’s talented pupils. The show is due to be shown on 4th December on Sky TV channel 191.
