CINEMA goers in Coleraine could soon be watching their favourite films in 3D for the first time, the Times can reveal.

Management of the Movie House Jet Centre said it’s just one of a number of exciting developments on the way at the Riverside complex.

The announcement comes as the Jet Centre has just opened two new screens, which it says, will give ‘customers greater movie choice’.

It means that the Jet Centre now has eight screens, which means the cinema will be able to retain popular films longer and to screen a bigger range of movies.

The new screens are digital and Managing Director and owner Michael McAdam revealed yesterday that he now looking to add 3D to the complex.

“3D is very popular but it is a big investment. Ultimately I would love to have 3D in Coleraine and I am determined to install this at the earliest possible opportunity,” said Michael McAdam.

There are a number of huge blockbuster films coming up this summer including The Dictator, Men in Black 3, Prometheus, Ice Age 4 and The Dark Knight Rises.

“We’ve got lots of plans in store for Jet Centre that local people will love. It’s our goal to make the Jet Centre the premiere entertainment centre in Northern Ireland,” he added.

The centre, which was re-opened in 2006, features the state of the art Superstrikes bowling alley, Alley Cats Indoor Play and a fantastic range of arcade games.
