A Duty Supervisor at Coleraine Leisure Centre will don boxing clubs to raise money for Northern Ireland’s Children to Lapland Trust.
James Allen will be taking part in a Fight Night in the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, on Sunday September 23.
However in the run up to the big event James is encouraging gym users at the Leisure Centre to get involved in a special boxing challenge to help raise funds for the charity.
The Gym Boxing Challenge, will see amateur and novice categories for males and females and will involve everything from skipping to squat thrusts and much more.
The Challenge will run from Tuesday, August 28 until Friday, September 21.
Participants will be timed and there will be prizes for the winner and runners up. You can try as often as they like, making a minimum donation of £2 each time.
James said: “I’m delighted to be taking part in the charity Boxing night and I’ve no doubt that the generous gym users will be supportive as always. In the run up to the fight night we will be hoping to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity. So come on down to The Gym at Coleraine Leisure Centre and join the fun.”
The Northern Ireland’s Children To Lapland Trust aims to fulfill the dreams of terminally ill, long term ill and deserving children, by taking them to see Santa at his home in Lapland.
