DIAMOND Jubilee celebrations will be in full swing in Portstewart next Monday.

Members of the local Presbyterian Church have organised a series of events to mark the Queen’s special milestone on Monday, June 4.

Starting at 6pm, a ‘bring your own picnic’ event will be held in church hall and grounds at Central Avenue. There will be Irish and Scottish dancing displays and plenty to keep the children occupied with bouncy castles and games. Later in the evening a band concert will be held in the church hall.

The celebrations will be rounded off with a barn dance in the hall.

Admission is free, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Church Events Committee would like to thank Coleraine Borough Council for funding the festivities.
