Causeway Coast and Glens UUP Alderman William King has said the news about the care home in Garvagh is a ‘much needed boost for the area’.

Speaking this morning the Bann Alderman said: “This is good news for the town of Garvagh and especially for those seeking residential care and those those with dementia.

“The well structured existing building, in a lovely quiet and tranquil rural setting will be ideal when renovations are complete.

“Being run by the Presbyterian Church with a Christian Ethos will be of great benefit to those in need in the Causeway Coast and Glens and wider area.

“We look forward with anticipation to the opening of this home in Spring 2017.”
